[PDSL] PDSL Shared Stats

Hello PDSL players,

New! PDSL players can now share their stats. PDSL player stats by default are not accessible by other players or the public, but you can now opt in and share your stats with other registered members of the site. These site members can be either current or prospective PDSL players.

Share your stats under My Stats at http://pdsl.doublecork.com and view others' stats under Shared Stats. If you don't have a My Stats link it means you're either not registered or I do not know your user name.

Note: Sponsorship information is not shared.

[PDSL] DoubleCork Forum, New Graphs

Hello all,

The DoubleCork Forum (http://doublecork.com/forum/phpBB3) has been re-opened. Feel free to browse the topics that are there and to start new discussions. This has been shut down for a while due to spambots, but I have some new anti-spam measures in place.

As for me, I'll be posting on the forum first and re-posting on Facebook and Twitter as I just don't feel these venues are of much benefit to either league. Also, there is a lot of information about the development of both leagues in the archives.

One more thing: the forum should automatically detect if you're on a mobile device and change the display accordingly, just as each league stats site does.

I've also written new PDSL performance graphs for devices (and computers) without Adobe Flash Player. Previously your phone would not display any charts and tell you to get Flash Player - which you couldn't. Now it should detect whether or not you have Flash and do the right thing.

(If you're a registered user on the site and have told me your user name, the graphs are under My Stats/Graphs.)

[PDSL] Spring 2014 season starts next week! Hope you've been practicing your doubles...

 PDSL LEAGUE COMMUNICATIONS 

Dear PDSL Member:

Get ready for the start of the new Spring 2014 season of professional long-format 501!  Read on for important news about this season and an update on the PDSL player sponsorship program!  We are continuing to expand and currently have over 250 players and 33 brackets across 5 states, up 4 brackets from last season with explosive growth in the New York region and we are also evaluating webcam remote matches in a local test bracket.

NO OTHER LEAGUES support prospective professional players like the PDSL!

Once again, the new season begins next week, week of March 2nd.  Bracket kits are being shipped and are on the way, but everything you need can also be downloaded from our website - just see the links below (click the name of the document to download or to visit the PDSL Member's site, bottom right corner under "downloads"):
  • Bracket Scheduler - Since there is no travel and matches are played in a single location, PDSL employs a flexible "do it yourself" scheduling system. Bracket reps will use this form to assign schedule positions to their players and should then distribute this schedule among their bracket.
  • Bracket Operations Sheet - Basic instructions for managing your PDSL Bracket.
  • Online Match Report Instructions - illustrated guide on how to enter completed match reports.
  • Blank Match Reports - can be used for all matches, including makeups.
