[PDSL] Fall 2013 Playoff Updates - $1K sponsorship funds now up for grabs

To make sure you receive notice of updates and other breaking news, sign up for our email list or keep checking the playoff page on our main website.

Please read below the preliminary details of this season's playoff configuration, a flyer with additional details is also attached. Bracket reps, please consider printing this information out and distributing to your players.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

To be eligible for the playoffs, you must have completed and filed reports for all regular season matches by the January 4, 2014 deadline.

Players will be seeded based on PPR.

Players must CHECK IN onsite when they arrive at the playoff venue or will risk being considered absent and not included in the draw.

Players may opt to play in the division level above their PPR, but must inform the league at time of onsite check in.

Start Times:
Doors open at 11am. All divisions start play at 12:00pm
Players MUST CHECK IN at the desk when they arrive the venue or risk being considered absent and not included in the draw.

Championship Prize Funds:

A Division:
1st: $460, 2nd: $225,
3-4: $110, 5-8: $60;

B Division:
1st: $225, 2nd: $110,
3-4: $60; 5-8 $30

Total Playoff Award Purse: $1720

All awards will be paid by check and mailed to the winners after the tournament. IRS form W-9 will be required to be submitted by any player who earns $600 or more during the calendar year. Each player will receive an IRS form 1099 from the company and the company will file the required IRS form 1096.

Fall 2014 PRO SPONSORSHIP FUND FOR FINALISTS NOW $1000

The Fall 2013 championship playoff finalists from the highest division will EACH earn shares of this year's PDSL sponsorship funds which currently total $1000. Sponsorship funds are to be used at any long-format professional tournament such as New World Dart Series, PDC NA Tour, Major League Darts or similar competition, subject to approval.

[PDSL] Spring 2014 Season Announcement - PDSL

Doublecork, Inc. is pleased to invite all serious dart players to participate in our Spring 2014 season of the Pro Developmental Singles League (PDSL) which begins the week of March 2, 2014.

Informational Flyer (Page 1) - Print this page out and give to any prospective players or sponsors that want to know more about the league.

Application e-Form (Page 2) - This form should be filled out to completion and returned with your sponsor and player fees check(s). We encourage you to use this method to avoid illegible handwriting.

Player Recruitment/Sponsor Poster - if your group needs additional players or you are a sponsor looking to support a bracket, we've designed this "Sponsor Poster" for you to post in the dartboard area of your establishment.

UPDATE: PDSL PLAYER SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM *

The Spring 2014 championship playoff finalists from the highest division will EACH earn a $250+ Sponsorship Package* to be used at an upcoming long-format pro tournament, such as PDC, New World Dart Series or Major League Darts events. Eligible event(s) will be determined on a case by case basis and is subject to league approval.

* This sponsorship package may be adjusted +/- based on player membership size in all combined regions. Sponsored players must agree to PDSL terms of sponsorship.

PDSL CHAMPIONSHIP PLAYOFFS

Possible dates will be announced when conflicts are better known. Location is also to be determined.
All divisions from all regions will participate on same day for cash prizes
Finalists from highest division will earn sponsorship to attend a pro format event.

Dear PDSL Member:

Below please find important updates regarding the Fall 2013 season makeup deadline and playoff details.

** Signup info for the upcoming Spring 2014 season is now available - click here for full details.

Application deadline: February 15, 2014 ; Season begins: Week of March 2nd

PLEASE NOTE: It is imperative that bracket reps and players share the following information in their bracket and help those without email or computer access to stay informed.

We also encourage you to follow DoubleCork on our Facebook Page and Twitter feed for the most timely updates.

As we reach the conclusion of the current season, the PDSL would like to thank all of our members for your continued support and participation. Below you will find helpful reminders and information about the upcoming playoff tournament to decide a league champion and recipients of the 2 professional sponsorship packages.

Here are some important reminders and updates as the regular season winds down:

All matches must be completed and reports filed. Players with incomplete seasons will not be eligible for the playoffs.
Two-week makeup period runs from your last regular season week until 01/04/14, and Saturday, January 4th is the last day match reports will be accepted.
Please make sure you check in at the desk once you arrive at the playoff tournament.
The draw for the playoff tournament will be done live onsite prior to start.

Fall 2013 PDSL playoffs are currently planned for February 1, 2014 at Crown East Billiards in East Haven, CT - an official announcement will be sent out once final confirmation is received - stay tuned to our Facebook/Twitter and email newsfeeds.

** TWO PDSL PLAYERS WILL RECEIVE SPONSORSHIP TO ATTEND A PRO DARTS EVENT! **

The Fall 2013 championship playoff finalists from the highest division will EACH earn a $250+ Sponsorship Package to be used towards attending any long format professional oriented tournament, including PDC NA Tour, New World Dart Series, Major League Darts or similar pro-format competition, per league approval. THIS JUST IN! This season's player sponsorship package will be increased from the $250 base, full details will be announced soon.

[PDSL] Fall 2013 Season starts next week!

PDSL LEAGUE COMMUNICATIONS

Dear PDSL Member:

We hope all brackets, those new and those returning, are geared up for the start of the new Fall 2013 season of professional long-format 501! Read on for important news about this season and an update on the PDSL player sponsorship program! We are continuing to expand and currently have 22 brackets and 165 players across 6 states.

Once again, the new season begins next week, week of Sept. 8th. Bracket kits have been shipped, but everything you need can also be downloaded from our website - just see the links below (click the name of the document to download or to visit the PDSL Member's site, bottom right corner under "downloads"):

Bracket Scheduler - Since there is no travel and matches are played in a single location, PDSL employs a flexible "do it yourself" scheduling system. Bracket reps will use this form to assign schedule positions to their players and should then distribute this schedule among their bracket.
Bracket Operations Sheet - Basic instructions for managing your PDSL Bracket.
Online Match Report Instructions - illustrated guide on how to enter completed match reports.
Blank Match Reports - can be used for all matches, including makeups.

There is just a little over 2 weeks left to get your group signed up for the next season of PDSL long format 501 darts.

If you still need to recruit players, - print out the PDSL Flyer and distribute to anyone you think may be interested. Encourage them to visit our website for additional information. You can also post on our Facebook Page that you're looking for additions.

Below please find important updates regarding the spring season makeup deadline and playoff details.

PLEASE NOTE: It is imperative that bracket reps and players share the following information in their bracket and help those without email or computer access to stay informed.

As we reach the conclusion of the Spring 2013 season, the PDSL would like to thank all of our members for your continued support and participation. Below you will find helpful reminders and information about the upcoming playoff tournament to decide a league champion.

RSVPs are no longer required for the playoffs. Please make sure you check in at the desk once you arrive at the tournament.
The draw for the playoff tournament will be done live onsite prior to start.

Spring 2013 PDSL PLAYOFFS WILL BE July 13, 2013 at Crown East Billiards in East Haven, CT

Spring 2013 PDSL Playoffs will be held July 13, 2013 at Crown East Billiards in East Haven, CT. All areas and divisions will play on the same day at the same location.
A detailed playoff flyer and additional information will be sent out soon.

Information about signing up for the Fall 2013 season will also be made available soon.

** CONGRATULATIONS TO JIM WIDMAYER, FIRST EVER "MASTERS" LEVEL PDSL PLAYER **

Jim Widmayer, who plays in the NYC PDSL Premier League, and a 2X PDSL A Division Champion, is the first ever PDSL player to achieve a "Master" level PPR. His average of 81.89 over a 14 match season shows the level of consistent quality that we are all striving to achieve. Good luck to all in trying to match and surpass this achievement and we hope to be able to add many more names to this list as we continue on.
