[PDSL] Updated Bracket Materials

The PDSL has recently updated some of the documents used to manage your bracket. Fresh copies can be downloaded from the Spring 2011 Season page of the Doublecork.com website, and include:
  • Match Guidelines - For all players, but especially those new to PDSL, this document discusses scoring, counting darts and guidelines for makeup matches.  It is VERY IMPORTANT for all players to read this document.  Bracket reps should print this out and distribute to all players they represent.
  • Online Match Report Instructions - Has now been updated to match the current format of our Member's Website.  This is for Bracket Reps who enter match reports.
  • Bracket Operations Sheet - a very brief guide to how brackets are to be managed.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
ONLY Bracket Reps are allowed to enter match reports.  Bracket reps must first register an account on the league member's website, and then email your username to Mark Clifford - markc@doublecork.com.  Once this is done, your account will be given access to the online match reporting system (download the instructions mentioned above).  If for any reason the Bracket Rep is unable to fulfill this duty, contact Mark Clifford to discuss alternatives.

Despite the previous delay, the current season is off to a quick start.  We have many new players and some are already making a mark on the league rankings.  Some players are throwing high averages, above 80, and perhaps this season we will see our first player break 80ppr for a full season.  Check it out on the PDSL Member's Website.

[PDSL] Fall 2010 Champions

The PDSL is pleased to announce our league champions from both regional playoffs and the central league championship events held this past month.  Champions are listed below and additional details are available on the league website, including complete bracket results and champion photos, click here.

[PDSL] Spring 2011 Bracket Kits Are En Route

Bracket kits containing match reports, rules, etc, have been shipped and should arrive to Bracket Reps soon.  If you need any materials, you can also download them and print them out, see links below.

The members website is currently being configured with this season's player info and should be ready by the beginning of this coming week for entering matches and notables. Thank you for your patience during this delay.

The PDSL is pleased to announce that the Spring 2011 season will have 29 brackets across 4 states which is our largest season yet.  To view all brackets, click here.

A word regarding playoffs...
Please note that once again we could not predict our player numbers or geographical distribution until after the season start, which affects our ability to pre-construct a final playoff format and structure. We will do our best to determine this season's playoffs by week 6 and notify all players so they can plan accordingly.  In general, you can expect our playoffs to be similar to past efforts, which you can review by downloading last season's playoff flyer.  If you have any feedback on PDSL playoffs, we encourage you to post them in one of our forums (Doublecork Forums or SEWA) for all members to discuss.

[PDSL] Spring Season Delay & Fall 2010 Championship Updates

Spring 2011 Season Delayed Start

Due to weather-related causes and other reasons, there has been an unavoidable delay in the printing and distribution of PDSL Bracket Kits which include match reports, instructions, rules, etc.  Because of this, brackets may opt to delay their start by one week (week of 2/13) or begin play next week with materials downloaded from our website (see below).

Please note that there will also be a delay for when match reports can be entered, notifications will be sent out when that is activated.

Bracket kits should be sent out by end of next week, but brackets may choose to start next week without it, see the links below to download match reports and other materials you may need. Please note the PDSL employs do it yourself scheduling (see "Bracket Scheduler" below), you do not need to wait for the league to create one.
UPDATE!  Fall 2010 Central League Championship

A complete bracket listing the matchups for our 8 qualifiers from each region for the championship finals is attached.

Because of potential storm forecasts, many players have been inquiring about Weather Cancellation for the finals on February 5 in Connecticut.  No decision has been made at this time as rescheduling requires analyzing many complicated scenarios.  Any news about the status of Saturday's event will be made via this email list, our Twitter feed and the league website, so please stay tuned.
